GTX 550 ti or 6770? PRICE/PERFORMANCE? refurbished?

So I have had an 8400GS for a while and I need an upgrade because this card is crap. Really, anything is better than this card.

I saw these two refurbished cards, the 6770 and the GTX 550 Ti.

GTX 550 TI(REFURBISHED) $69.99 http://tinyurl.com/aerx8w2

RADEON 6770(REFURB) $76.99 http://tinyurl.com/bglxa4v

First of all, should I buy refurbished cards? They're both from reliable vendors, but I am still iffy...Also, on the 550 Ti, it doesn't show anything about warranty(look under shipping and payments tab), but on the 6770 it does. Help? My budget right now is about $85(I know horrible -___- don't have to let me know..)

Specs if needed::

Intel G540 Dual Core 2.5Ghz
2x2GB DDR3 1333mhz Ram
650W StealthxStream OCZ PSU
8400GS(upgrading to one of the cards above, or any other suggestions)

I play games at 1024x768---->native monitor resolution. Games=Star Wars: Old Republic. My 8400GS has been running it well, but all the settings are low @ 800x600. So which card is better and should I buy refurb? Suggestions are welcome!

GTX 550Ti is faster than HD 6770..
_________

mmm, actually, that price is pretty expensive for refurbished card...

for $120 you can get brand new 7770, just $35 more...it really-really much faster than both..

I suggest you to saving a little bit more..:D

For 1024x768? Because I don't want to max games, default settings is like max to me. (You would understand if you lived with a 8400GS :p )

well, you're right..7770 is too good for that resolution..
even 550Ti or 6770 is too good..
but honestly i don't think that you would stick with that resolution forever..:D

and, once you've entered the maximum setting "world", you wouldn't go revert back.. trust me..

Then go with 7750, it can go as low as $90 in newegg..
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

with 12.11 driver, it's slightly better than both card, and the most important thing, it's brand new and full warranty..

If you insist to use that resolution, i suggest you to pick 9800GT/8800GT..
or faster gts250 / hd4850..

yes, it's almost ancient cards..but it can play all game at maximum setting at your resolution..
You can find it in ebay around $20-$40..

at your resolution and if you not planning to upgrade your monitor..
get gts450..
it still can max out all games in 1024x768..

But if you planning to upgrade monitor later to bigger resolution, then 7750 is a better choice.. :)

Thanks man, I probably won't upgrade for another year or so and hopefully, graphics like the GTX 560(my dream card :D  ) will be lower in price. Thanks for the help! Getting the 450!
