Just bought a GE Force 6200 PCI 512MB graphics card for Flight Simulator X. I'm running it with a Pentium 4, 2.8 ghz, 1MB ram computer. So far I can only get 2D graphics. Any suggestions for getting 3D or do I need to return the card? Thanks.
i would assume this has something to do with your video card being weak, and your cpu is 10 years old.
Sorry I meant 3 dimension. I had FSX several years ago on a slower older computer with a different graphics card and got stunningly realistic (I'm a retired pilot) detail. What I have now is stick figures and little range of motion on the different perspectives. It's for my nephews and they don't need a lot of detail in the beginning, but it sure looks good.
I also have fsx and am not sure what you mean by 2D only. If you press F11 for outside view while in flight what do you see?
Sorry I meant 3 dimension view. What I'm getting now is a flat view of everything rather than google map quality with less range of motion in the various views. The panels are less detailed as well. I have F 11 in my joystick. That part all works fine.
