I'll start with the new specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Ultimate
Mainboard: MSi 970A-G46
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
Memory: Crucial 8Gb DDR3 1333, just one.
GPU: Msi(nVidia) GeForce 9600GT OC with 512MB memory

I had an old Foxconn mobo before, with an AMD Athlon x2, it was just dated, and I didn't want to spend too much for the upgrades to get some playability.

Everything went in very easily, no problems, except that I had to get a SATA Dvd Drive, since the old one was IDE.

Installed the drivers included with the Mobo, then installed Nvidia's drivers for the graphics card. Rebooted. assuming everything was gravy, I tried to play Far Cry 3 (which ran without a hitch at medium/high settings with my old Mobo and CPU) and it barely gets 3 fps!
Did a benchmark on GTAIV, same thing!

I've installed every driver that I can think of, used Msi's live update, can't find anything that will work.

Help?
