Hi,

I'm having an issue that is getting really annoying while I'm playing a game. It seems that whenever something high intense is about to happen my PC just crashes into a random colour (a lot of the time green or purple) fuzzy screen with a loud 'bzzzz' noise and i have to reboot my PC. It only happens when something significant is happening in the game or a lot of action is going on.

For example it just crashed while I was playing CounterStrike, I was standing next to the bomb which as soon as it exploded the PC crashed. It has also happened in other games just as a cut scene comes in or just when there is a lot of shooting or anything similar going on.

My specs are:

Operating System
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit SP1

CPU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 @ 2.66GHz
Yorkfield 45nm Technology

RAM
4.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz (6-6-6-16)

Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. EG41MFT-US2H (Socket 775)

Graphics
ASUS VW193T (1440x900@60Hz)
896MB GeForce GTX 260 (nVidia)

Hard Drives
488GB SAMSUNG SAMSUNG HD502IJ ATA Device (SATA) 36 °C

Optical Drives
CZSJ U38DYFCX2NK SCSI CdRom Device
HOFAH HAR85EV85E SCSI CdRom Device
ASUS DRW-2014L1T ATA Device
MagicISO Virtual DVD-ROM0000

Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

I noticed when getting these specs from speccy it says my graphics is at 64°C (im not running anything large), is that normal?

Thanks

If you are doing nothing and your card is idling at 64 degrees then yeah, while playing its probably overheating.

Get a program like msi afterburner and make an aggressive fan profile and see if that helps.
