Will i3 3220 and GTX 650 ti be a good combo?

I'm looking to help my dad build a budget gaming/rendering computer. I'm considering using the i3-3220 which has onboard hd 2500 graphics (won't need) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116775 and pair it with a EVGA 650 TI 2gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130841 . Will the processor be enough for the graphics card do you think?

Thanks,

Brandon

More about will 3220 good combo
  1. Yes, That would be a great combo for budget. I myself would go for that if I'm tight on budget. But if I could bump my budget a little, I would go for a combo like, i5-3470, 660/7850.
  2. Thank-you! I just wanted to be sure the processor would not "bottle-neck" the graphics card. I thought they should be ok together, just wanted to make sure.
  3. Yeh too hav dat no bottleneck
