Whilst playing Diablo 3 on max settings my computer abruptly cut power and will not turn on again. This occurred after a rebuild of my computer yesterday. The PSU and GPU were hot, but not overly so post crash but not overly so (hand could be held against each indefinitely without it being overly uncomfortable). I wondered whether the mobo has fried. It is four years old and is having to handle a lot more than it is used to (graphics is up from a Rad 4500 to a 6970HD for instance).
Here are my specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz CPU
AMD Radeon 6970HD 2GB GPU
6GB DDR2 Ram (2 x 2GB + 2 x 1GB) Can't recall the brand
750W A Power PSU
An audio card No idea which Al I can get off it is that it was made by a company Hauppagel, something about WinTV and 71999LF
640GB 3.0GB/s SATA 7200rpm (Hitachi)
Don't know about disc drive, but model # is TS-H653G/DEBHW
The mobo is Dell specific, model # IPIEL-RN2 Ro0222
HAF 922 cooler master case. All three provided fans are running
I don't think the PSU is the problem, because every now and then when I press power, a light flickers or a fan might begin to white and the stops.
Also, if it is the mobo, can you recommend a cheapish one I can use as a replacement. The HAF case has a USB3 port on the front and led lights, so one compatible with both those things is preferred
