Upgrading Amd Radeon hd 7450 250$ budget

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my card but can't decide which is best for me. I want a card that can run World of Warcraft on ultra with a 1920x1080 resolution.

These are my computer specs : http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03363686&tmp_track_link=ot_faqs/top_issues/en_us/c03363686/loc:2&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5231380#N424

Currently with the card i am using i pull about 8 fps on ultra. Hopefully you guys pick one that will fit as well because when i upgraded my Gpu for my last computer it did not fit in the case. :fou:

Thanks alot,

  1. This card is currently at such a ridiculous price you can upgrade both your power supply and the GPU. I'm not sure it'll fit, but you only need like 260mm of room to fit it in :) . Its also very highly overclocked, and comes with Far Cry 3 to boot as well.

Get this power supply as well

    You'll be set for awhile.
  2. thanks for the reply :). i forgot to mention that i live in Canada and the price of those 2 combined on the .ca version of newegg is around 350$ :( sorry. Also i notice that card says PCI express x16 3.0 and my motherboard says gen 2.0, not sure if it is significant tho

MSI Radeon HD 7870 Hawk (After Mail In Rebate: $199.99 CAD) :

    PSU XFX 550W PRO550W Core Edition(After Mail In Rebate: $49.99) :

    250$ total

And to clarify any pci 3.0 card is compatible with pci 2.0
  4. now are the suggested adding of the psu's be a hint that should also replace my 460W or are they needed for the card?
  5. Yes, you'll need to replace the psu if you want to run mid-end gaming cards.
The one suggested(xfx 550w) is really good, and it will do for futures upgrades.
