How can I make my PC better?

Here are my system specs:

MSI P67A-G43 (B3) P67 Mobo
Intel Core i5 2400
500GB Seagate HD
8GB G.Skill DDR3-1600 Ram
Radeon HD 6950
OCZ 600watt PSU

How can I make it run the latest games at high settings with less lag?

You should be able to run most games at 1080p at max settings. What game is specifically giving you problems? are you sure that none of your components is under-clocked?

This is the kind of answer I was hoping for. The only slight problem I'm having is that I can't play SWTOR at maximum settings. Apparently the game requires a lot of power.

Can't run smoothly with max settings in general or just during Operations?

If it's just in general it should have no problem running it maxed. Unless there is a problem with the game on AMD GPUs, which I haven't heard about.
