Hey all, first time poster, long time snooper :) . Anyways looking for some advice on a new monitor for my current setup that is a 16:9 ratio and rather large. I am currently using a Hann-g 28" monitor I got from newegg in 2009 or so. Still a good monitor for the price at the time ($230 black friday) but with starting to do fraps recordings the 16:10 ratio is giving me black bars on the sides of the screen.

So I'm looking for something that will be 16:9 at least 27" (preferably larger all though I don't want a tv) at or below $800. Good for gaming as well.

Thanks for all the help guys!

They have a awesome deal at best buy for a 27" 5ms 1920x1080 led monitor for $200 that usually costs $400, the model number is e2742v. I got one today, but they might not be in stock anymore, try online.

Thanks for the replies!

I have definitively been looking into the ASUS line as I have heard good things. Problem is I really don't want to have a resolution higher than 1080p.
Reason for this is that anything larger will look great but i currently have a pc that is getting great frames at 1200P:

3570k@4.6ghz
16gb ram
gtx 670 2gb

so yea anything in the 1080 is best.
