Overclocking radeon xfx 6850

The max this can go to is 850mhz but i heard something about flashing the 6850 bios to the 6870? What is that how do i do that???Can someone explain please. IM NEW and i need help

The max you can go is 850 in AMD catalyst, download msi afterburner or trixx and you can achieve higher clock speeds

You manually have to edit MSI Afterburner to work fully. Trixx comes unlocked and it's what I used to OC my current Sapphire 6850.

Edit: Do not, I repeat, do not flash your BIOS. This only worked on the Radeon 6950 to 6970 because they were the exact same card except the 6950 had lower clock speeds. The 6850 & 6870 are different in clock speeds AND shader count. If you flash your 6850 you automatically void any warranty & can't RMA it and take a chance on bricking it.

The stock clocks on my Sapphire 6850 are 775 Core / 1000 Mem. On stock voltage I'm 100% stable at 980 (+205) Core / 1190 (+190) Mem.
