Just ordered a 7970... problem... switch to Nvidia?

I got a Black Friday deal on a MSI 7970... but I think I need to switch to an Nvidia card. I'm using a 1440p Achieva Shimian monitor, and I'm thinking about getting a second for dual screen. Problem is they only have DVI-D inputs... and the 7970 only has one DVI-D output. If I were to buy an adapter for the second monitor, it'd run me about $80 extra.

Sooo... I'm thinking about selling or returning the 7970 for a GTX 670. Thoughts? Are they pretty similar in performance?

If your only using 2 monitors you only need a Passive (mini)displayport to DVI or a HDMI to DVI cable. it's only when u want to use a 3rd monitor you need the expensive active adapter

The Mini Display Port supports resolutions up to 2560×1600

Does your Monitor have a mini display port?

if so can't you simple plug one into that and the other into the DVI-D? I don't think you need an adapter if your monitor has Mini Display Ports.

Nope. It's one of those Korean 1440p monitors that only have DVI-D.

7970 out preforms 670 @ higher res i would not switch it.
