Mediocre FPS on Planet Side 2

I just recently installed a XFX 7970 and I'm experiencing mediocre frames on High settings on Planet Side 2; around
30-40 fps at 1920 x 1200 resolution. I'm not sure if it is bottle necking or if this is just typical performance for this game? Any insight would be appreciated.

Specs:

AMD 965 OC 3.7 ghz
XFX 7970 @ 1000mhz OC
8 GB RAM DDR3 1600

I've got 1920x1080 dipping from 50-60's into the 40's sometimes never fully using more then around 50% of my 2500k @4.0Ghz and 30-40% of my 2xMSI 660 Ti PE's
