Difference between xfx radeon hd 7870 Double D and core edition

Hi I'm planning to buy a radeon hd 7870 from xfx but I have to ask: should I get a double D edition or the core edition. Maybe I'm just being picky but is there a difference between the cooling performance of each them or do they both do a great job of cooling the gpu?

They should both do a fine job of cooling the card.

That said, 2 fans are better than 1, provided you have adequate ventilation for your case. I'd go with Double D.
