Will a asus7870 HD be a good match

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: ill be ordering on the 15th of this month
BUDGET RANGE: $200-250 Before Rebates USAGE
will be for Gaming online mostly bf3 & COD at high to full settings and photo editting.
CURRENT GPU none yet
AND POWER SUPPLY: will be depening on my power needs right now i have 500w
I also have on order a I5-3570 .
I really have no desire to over clock so no need to factor that in. O yeah my mobo is a Gigabyte Intel Z77 LGA1155
All my other components for this build will be determined on my gpu. I'm just really trying to find out if the 7870 will play nice with gpu

1. I would say, yes for now. Depends on your resolution too. But I suggest up it to 7950 if you can up your budget a bit. But if not then might as well go with 7970. It would really come down to your budget.

2. I'm just curious why you picked a z77 board if your not into overclocking. I would have bought a h77 board instead.

It depends really, sometimes the stores people buy it from are retarded and offer great deals with a non overclockable CPU + an overclockable board. I've seen it many times, and it even happened to me. My i5 3550+ my z77 was $350, but getting an i5 3550 + a h77 individually was like $380. :lol:

haha. yes I've come across with those deals too. but sometimes they put some shitty boards. :lol: but if your lucky with the parts, you'll have a great deal. :lol: That's why I'm asking why he picked that out, if he got a deal or he just went picked it. could have checked he could save money or not. :)

Near local store offer i5-760 with entry-level asrock motherboard for $180 :lol:. Maybe they need to clean their store from old tech things :D
