Hi,

Does anyone has any information or direction on where to get more
information on how to disable IR discovery for USB-IR adaptor devices in
Windows 2k/XP systems?

Any help is greatly appricated.

As far as I remember you can turn this off from the Control Panel >
Infrared.

Hi,

I believe we were able to do that in Win9x systems. However as far as I can
tell from my Wink2k, there is no option in Wireless Link in Control Panel.

Also, it will be great if I can do this from a programming prospective.

Another option is to disable the Infrared service in the Control Panel

Hi,

In Win2k, there is only Infrared Monitor service. I've stop/disabled the
service and I'll still see the LED on the IR adaptor blinks every few
seconds.

Help with Windows 2000 is available from
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.win2000.general. You may
want to post there for further suggestions.
