So, i'm getting a new graphics card and psu for christmas, i have got the psu covered, but the gpu is a different thing! I have enough to get a 7870, infact, i have enough to get 7950, but people said i would need to get a better psu to make it run properly, so i decided to step down to the 7870 and get a good psu for upgrades in the future and that. But the thing is, if i get 7870 it would give me 40-50 pounds to get a psu! Which i chose the xfx 550W ( recommended by somebody else ). Would it be a wise idea to get a GTX660 for £166 and then get a 750W Psu or more? I play Battlefield 3, Just cause 2, skyrim, crysis (1 and 2), nfs the run, black ops II etc...

My specs are :
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3
CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.20Ghz
RAM : Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333MHZ
PSU : TOQO 480W Silent(Don't ask me anything about the company, i have no idea!)
GPU : ATI Radeon 6670 1GB DDR5

The 7870 + xfx 550w will do.
I don't recommend skipping the psu part, you don't know if your cheap crappy brand psu has a pci-e connector 6 pin or 6+2 pin or enough power to play with the 660 gtx.
