My computer has DirectX 11 graphics card but when I try to start a game it says "This game requires DirectX 10-capable card..".
Does this mean I have to replace my card with a lower version, or is there a workaround this problem.
Please help.

The screen shot doesnt let me paste on this page but the exact message dialog box reads:
"Failed to initialize DirectX. This game requires a DirectX 10-capable graphics card"

Graphics Card details:
Memory 1.7GB
Dedicated Video memory 64MB
Chip Type: Intel 4 series express Chipset

Thanks for your effort to help me.

We're not psychic. You have to give us the information we need to diagnose YOUR problem.

That being said, you just got your answer. You're using the graphics built into your processor, which are barely enough to handle a POWERPOINT. That's your problem, not your Direct X version.

Your GPU is only capable of rendering the Windows desktop and the odd video. Nothing else.

Intel Series 4 chipset means it's a GMA 900 series onboard graphics. You cannot play Hitman Absolution, regardless of whether or not any tests say the chip is "capable" of playing DirectX version whatever games. There is far more to graphics processing than you know.

If it is a desktop PC, you need to invest in a PCI Express dedicated video card. If it is a laptop, you are screwed, I am sorry.
