Hello guys, I am now deciding the components of my new PC. Thanks for the BLACK FRIDAY yesterday, I bought i7 3770K, Seagate 3TB HDD and KIngston 2x8G memory with super low price
Now I'm thinking about the video card. I want to play 3D games at ultra settings with one single 3D monitor(Asus VG278H, 1920x1080, 120Hz) and watch BluRay 3D movies. My requirement is 120FPS or minimum 60FPS.
Actually, I want to buy GTX690 because of 3072 cube cores, 512 bits and 4GB memory, but just now I googled the related websites and a lot of people said "the actual memory is only 2GB because SLI won't add up memory". I'm worrying that 2GB is not enough for big games (Crisis, NFS, Dirt3...) in the 3D environment.
Several questions below:
1. Is 2gb enough for 3D gaming and movies?
2. Which one should I get? GTX680 4G OR GTX690???? Does GTX680 4G have some advantages because of more memory?
3. Which brand is better? I'm considering EVGA or ASUS. I notice Asus GTX680s all have 2 fans, is it better for cooling down the card?
If you wanna go big go for the 690 gtx or else go with a 670 gtx 2gb or 7970 ghz 3 gb.
For 120 fps target and 3d, the 680 gtx wont cut it, only the 690 gtx or sli setup like 680 gtx or 670 gtx.
For e.g : @ 1080p ultra in 64 mp maps on battlefield 3 the framerate will never be bellow 60 fps.
