I want to build a little pc for my mom who only does Internet browsing, Microsoft word, excel and some photo editing programs as well as email and lots of web surfing and video watching. It's important that she can see the screen in at least 720p and that I can last here for at least 5 years... Here is the system and thanks in advance! The max budget is 650...

Motherboard: ASRock FM2A55M-DGS FM2 AMD-55
Case: MI-008 tower black p4-50
Ram: Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 4GB-18
Optical drive: Sony optiarc ddu1681s-18
Hdd: Seagate Barracuda 1tb ST1000DM003-80
CPU: AMD A8-5600K APU-100
Ssd: SanDisk 64 GB SDSSDP-064G-G25-65
Monitor: Viewsonic VA2212m-led 22inch-140
Windows 8-20
Power supply: SeaSonic SS-300TFX Bronze 300W TFX12V-40

What you've got is pretty good, With parents and users with less strenuous needs, its better to focus on the things they'll notice, monitor, quietness, reliability, etc.
That being said, back not to long ago 4gb of RAM was considered crazy overkill for all but the most hardcore power users.
Anyway, ya that build will do and she'll appreciate you not spending her maximum, my gaming computer cost me $550 and it'll play anything I want it to at max settings......
at 1024x768 haha 13 inch monitors ftw!
Have a good one!

It is not going to work.

You have selected a M-ATX motherboard that will not fit into a ITX sized case.
It seems that there are not many amd ITX sized motherboards available, and they are relatively expensive. at $90.

I might suggest a socket 1155 ITX motherboard.
The cheapest might be a $50 foxcon http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186216
The mainstream brands will be closer to $85.

Use a G530 cpu for $49 It is all you need for normal work or movies.

The stock intel cpu cooler is fine, and is relatively quiet. Only under high load will you hear it.

How much storage is needed? Unless you are storing large files like video's, a 120gb ssd might be all you need.
You could always add a hard drive later.

imo either just get the regular hdd or get a 128GB ssd. doesnt sound like your mom would use more the 128GB. a 64GB ssd is more of a pain then its worth.

also that psu is a TFX12V. make sure your case will actually support it.
