Hello,

I've been experiencing this problem with my new monitor Asus vs239.

The monitor power is on, but the screen goes black for 2-3 sec then back on as if nothing happened.

The power light is on all the time.

This happens about once every hour and it can be irritating when you are playing games or doing other stuffs.

MSI7850 Twin Frozr is the graphics card.

Wonder what could be wrong, hardware, software, config?

Many thanks!

I have had that happen when overclocking/testing my video cards.

In those cases it was a driver crash under load.

Is your card overclocked?

You are right.

MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr 2GB O.C.

I bought it and the hardware comes with overclock already. Is there anything I can do to rectify it? Through programs, software, bios or settings? Doubt I'll be able to fix the hardware myself, haha.

It can be irritating when it happens during watching shows or surfing web, but hugely frustrating if playing games as it goes black for 2-3 sec before coming back, lol. I'll say on average happens once per 1-2 hrs.

My Motherboard is I5-3470, AsRock B75 Pro3M, Seasonic 520W.

You could use afterburner to downclock it, but the factory overclock should have been stable.

(Guess it isn't stable now)
