670 sli or 690

Hey guys i just built my first system And it performs alright but i want it to be very future proof and perform outstanding, Ok i have a gtx 670 already but i would not mind upgrading but i was looking at alot of benchmark tests and it shows that the gtx 690 is marginally better than sli gtx 670s so what would you guys suggest I would really like a second opinion.

No they wouldn't be compatible. Cards from different manufacturers are compatible, but they have to have the same amount of memory.

When purchasing a second graphics card, you should try to match the memory size so that you are ensured full value and performance from your purchase. However, while it is not recommended, NVIDIA does offer the flexibility to run graphics cards with different sized memory by using CoolBits. Using CoolBits (value set to 18), you can force both of the cards to use the lower of the two memory sizes and operate them together in SLI mode. When dissimilar memory sizes are enabled to work together using CoolBits, the effective memory size for each card becomes the smaller of the memory sizes.

Honestly, you should ask nvidia customer support just to be sure.

Hmm u asked who is better. Didnt see that other post srry.

They would be compatible but you would be limitng the 4 Gb card to 2 Gb.
