Any issues/minor upgrades for my desktop pc?

computer is mostly going to be used for gaming/live streaming/recording games. goal is to do that in 720p with no lag.

see flaws such as things not fitting/working together/compatibility/not good enough watts/cooling being insufficient?

or do u know of any better parts then the ones i have now (within reason)?

budget is 1500-2000$ btw. and hoping to go $1500ish so i wont have to wait 1-2 weeks. but if its a good bang for my buck then go for it~ ^_^

  1. Nice build. The only thing that I would suggest is going for the 670 rather than the 680. Their specs are so close, you can OC the 670 and be neck and neck with the 680 and the 670 is over $100 cheaper.

Here are some benches to show you what I mean.
  2. thanks. im def considering it

ok i decided to stick with the 3750k and say meh to the i7 3770k..

also downgraded to 670 gfx thing else?

    is the power supply good?
  3. bump. ctrl+f and didnt find post on first 5 pages. wut.
  4. You really could scratch the black edition WD HDD and just get a Seagate Barracuda. No difference in performance only a name. PSU will be fine only if you plan not to SLI later on, then up that to a 750W.

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ NCIX US)

the only problem is that there are several complaints about barracuda having a high fail rate
  6. I have that exact model of the Barracuda and have had it for over 3 years. Haven't had a bit of problems. Its really just a luck of the draw deal as it goes with all pc components. You win most of the time and you lose a few times.
