HP Pavilion dv6 1030us running very slow after BIOS upgrade

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 1030us running 32-bit Windows 7. I upgraded my BIOS from f.05 to f.44 and now my computer runs really slow. It cant even load the desktop in over half an hour. Although, the 'Safemode with networking' option is working quite well. Any suggestions on how to get it back to normal?

after bios update
u did the following
loading bios default setting
load bios optimized settings
