  1. Yes these parts will work, but what's up with a Z68 chipset motherboard and an Ivy Bridge combination?

Trust me on this. What you want is a Z77 board to go with that processor.
Otherwise the parts all look good.

    Newf.

  2. Hi. Don't go with a Z68 motherboard as Newf mentioned above. Go with a Z77 like this one:

    ASRock Z77 Extreme4
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asrock-z77-extreme-4-intel-z77-s-1155-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-sata-raid-pcie-30-%28x16%29-d-sub-dvi-d-hdmi-a

This PSU is sufficient for less money. It's not yet available from Scan but you can get one from Novatech:

    XFX ProSeries Core Edition 550W
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-xfx-pro-series-core-edition-p1-550s-ukb9-85-eff-80-plus-bronze-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-fan-atx-v2
    http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/powersupplies/p1-550s-xxb9.html

I suggest going with this CPU cooler instead:

    Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/cooler-master-hyper-212-evo-4-heat-pipes-direct-contact-with-120mm-quiet-fan-lga775-1155-1156-1366-a
  3. Thank you for the help will change what you have said and the PSU comes out on the 14th so its not too long to wait

Do you know much about optical drives as I cannot find out how to work out the sizes for them?

I mean when looking at the cases in the specification it has the size for drive bays and I wasn't sure if they have specific sizes
  6. Under the specifications for Silverstone Temjin SST-TJ10S-W. It say 4 5.25" external drive bays which can accommodate any of the DVD burners above.
