Hey folks,
Not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but will give it
a shot anyway. Please direct me to the correct forum if it is more
appropriately asked elsewhere.
Anyhow, I have a home-built MCE2005 machine using an ASUS P4R800-VM
motherboard. Occasionally, and this is intermittent, the remote's
transceiver loses power when resuming from standby. The remote can wake the
machine, but then ceases to work unless the transceiver is unplugged from
the USB port then plugged back in. In addition to this, scheduled records do
not work because there is a "power failure" type error mentioned in Event
Viewer. I suspect this is because the transceiver lost power through its USB
port. There is obviously a glitch in the transceiver's HID driver or the
motherboard is at fault here. Regardless, is there any way to create a batch
file that detects when the system resumes from suspend to RAM then power
cycles the USB port &/or device such that I no longer have this problem?
Thanks for any ideas,
Dave
