So right now. I have 2xGTX 570 in SLI. Problem is, they have VRAM of 1280MB. I wanted to play BF3 on Ultra but I the low VRAM is causing stuttering at times. (Even dropped to 1 fps a few times)

What I was thinking, was selling these two cards, for $150-180 on the forums, and buying a single card.

The question is, which card? I don't want to go over $350 if I can help it, and I need enough VRAM to play BF3 on at least High with 60fps.

Any suggestions are welcome.

SPECS:
Intel i7 3930k @ stock (but can overclock if it'll make a difference)

32gb DDR3 1600

1250W Coolermaster PSU

24" monitor, 1900x1200

Or get a 670GTX I have the same 1920x1200 and a single 670 can play ultra settings everything maxed at that res. The 670 can also play 5760x1080 at high settings whick is my current setup. I see deals from time to time at 350 so would do you right. Don't get me wrong th 7970 ghz will give you the same or better performance most of the time but is quite a bit more in the money area.

LOL the HD7970 GHz Edition will DECIMATE the GTX670, where do you come with 'the same or better performance'...

My point was more price and saying the card will do what he wants. Not sure why you are compairing a 350 dollar card with a 500 dollar card. I conceeded it was better what are you rattling on about. I have the 670 so I was trying to help the OP out.

Parker. even though Clifford`s comment is amazing... on friday I got a new Lexus LS400 after I been earnin $7020 this-last/five weeks and just a little over 10 grand last-munth. without a doubt its the most-comfortable job I've ever had. I actually started 5 months ago and almost straight away was making at least $69 p/h. I follow instructions here,.. http://cutt.us/0PuU

What the heck are you talking about???

Staying in your $350 bracket, eh hem, a 670 or 7950 will do fine.

GIGABYTE GV-N670OC-2GD GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

As you can see, a nice $330 660 with triple fans for quiet, cool operation.

Here we have another three fan wonder but it's a 7950 at only $300.

Either one will do great and at far better performance than your present T-Rex cards.

His stated max cost is $350. Why not just recommend dual 690's or dual 7990's???

Either solution will show your board the door. What does that prove?

Because 690 and 7990 are not worth the price.I read what he stated read what i wrote i said save more doesn't mean he has to that's his choice ;)

Either card will suit you fine the 670 or the 7970. They are fairly close in numbers and driver changes happen all the time so there isn't always a clear cut winner. Unless your intent is to go with a multi monitor setup the 670 will will be the cheaper and better bang for your buck.

However, if you are wanting beyond 2 gigabytes of ram to power a high resolution display or multi monitor setup you may have to stretch beyond the $350 dollar mark.

Back in September I sold 2 560Ti's on EBAY for $260 well that is what it sold at when it ended. Right now is a good/bad time of the year to sell cards in general. Mainly because everything is on sale so it will drive the cost down but at the same time people are looking.

Note: I would run something like evga percision or afterburner and watch your ram usage and see if you are hitting the ram sealing because in theory the 570's should be a bit faster but ram can play a role in things I hated the 500 series for not pushing more ram onto the cards.

here is a guy who sold his 2 570's he got 360 for them both. But this was back in early November prior to black friday/cyber monday sales.
