i got me an ELSA Gladiac 721 (GF3 T1-200) with tv-out.

my telly is about 25' (7m) from my pc and i wanna be able to play dvd's from my pc on my telly.

what would be the maximum realistic s-video cable length, and are there any recommended suppliers of high-quality long video cables? i'm in the UK too btw.

With Jambo gold plated cables you can do it. You can get them from meany sources.
In any case you can make a S-VHS extention cable alone and run it to over 50M
