My Toshiba is I think about 7 years but I would really like to keep using it. I have a new model so at least I have something I can use. What I need to know is can the operating system be upgraded? I think my old Toshiba is a PS-305 I purchased in 2005. I can't even get on the internet now because of the newer versions of explorer. I did a complete software re-install and I can't get to explorer to sure about the categories Windows Service Pack 2.

If you are running Windows XP then it will likely run Windows 7. You need to list the specs for a better answer.

I could not find a PS-305. I found an L-305 which looked Win 7 capable, but that shipped with Vista natively.

Upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 3. Test your internet accessibility and report back.
