Okay I wasn't sure where to ask this but I'm upgrading my gpu from a 560 ti to a 680 and I can't find a definite answer. So what I want to know is what fps will I get on BF3 64 player with an i5-2500k and a gtx 680 at 1920x1080?

Very good. Likely somewhere between 50 and 60.

That being said, get a 670 instead. You save $100, and the 680 is only 5% more powerful. The 670 will still max out most games, and won't affect the scenario you laid out at all - the lag in 64 player is from CPU bottlenecks.

it will be your cpu that will keep your fps down in 64 man maps although you have one of the best gaming cpus... Only thing you can do to keep your frames higher is OC the CPU.

And about the 670 vs 680 I always see posts where people say the 670 is only 5% slower than the 680... but in my exp. i am seeing closer to 10-15% better performance out of my OC'd 680 vs my friends OC'd 670.

Try this with your 660 ti first i believe the problem is the mesh.....You can turn down the mesh to medium and restart...let me know if it's better for you.

i know is hard to swallow, but is the only solution without spending hundreds of dollars .......

The 680 won't help much in 64 player maps unless you have all of the graphics maxed and a high resolution (>=1080p). However on maps with less players the 680 will show a definite performance boost over the 670, not to mention other games that are usually GPU bound. I have a i5-2500k and get around 60 fps at stock in 64 player maps.

I'm going to play it on ultra and at 1080p so your saying they're will be a significant difference in 64 player maps with the 680?
