Hello,

I bought the following rig from a friend in 2010 when he bumped into financial issues.

Motherboard: ASUS M4A77TD PRO http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A77TD_PRO/
Graphics Card: 1x ATI Radeon HD 5570 1024MB 128bit http://xfxforce.com/en-gb/Products/Graphics-Cards/ATI/ATI-Radeon-HD-5000/ATI-Radeon-HD-5570.aspx
PSU: 700W 80
CPU: AMD Athlon ™ II X3 445 Processor 3.4Ghz (3 off) http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/processors/athlon-ii-x2/Pages/AMD-athlon-ii-x2-processor-model-numbers-feature-comparison.aspx
RAM: 2X 2 GIG DDR# (Kingston 99U5471-001.A01LF 1600mhz)
Tower Case (2x 120mm Fans)
Network Adaptor: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
DVD ROM: ATAPI iHAS324 B ATA Device
Disk Drive: ST500DM002-1BD142 ATA Device
Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Basic 32-bit

It worked ok until the newer games came out, I am no guru and therefore need some advise in upgrading the rig to play games like Skyrim, D3, WoW on higher settings and increase the fps on BF3 etc. My resolution is 1920x1080.

Any suggestions on what GPU to upgrade to and other nescasary upgrades as I am on a budget and would need to try and still utelise some of the existing components.

Thank you in advance.

what is your budget?

Actually... nvm...

That CPU would bottleneck most medium end GPUs today even if its overclocked...

You should try to see if you can unlock the 4th core on that gpu.

But ya. it shouldn't bottleneck 7850 or below... ($190ish)
