HIS IceQ X2 7970 vs Gigabyte 670

I am looking at these two cards. I was wondering which card you think is best.

7970: 7970

VS.

670: 670

I have already looked at different benchmarks and know a decent amount about both cards. I just wanted personal experiences with these two cards and other 670s or 7970s.

Well they are nearly the same. Sometimes Gtx going ahead and vice-versa.

Gtx 670 will be cooler and it is less power hungry.

Also it is cheaper 20$.

IMO i would get the 7970. It can be OCed really high and gives you a great performance.

With the price being 50$ less for the 670 gtx, recommend buying the 670 gtx, same performance less power consumption and with better drivers.

Power is not really an issue I recently purchased a 750w power supply. I have been interested in the 7970, but I am not sure after reading the reviews on newegg. How trustworthy are those reviews?

I know it is out of stock. This model comes in and out of stock regularly. I don't know if the hit to performance is worth it for $30.

With the 670 gtx there is no hit of performance against the 7970, plus it has better drivers and physX and txaa and its cheaper.

The 7970 ocs for better, but the same can be said for the 670 gtx.

With the catalyst 12.11 drivers the 7970 performs better. Additionally I already have AC3. And although I am planning on purchasing Borderlands 2 I was also planning on buying the games that come with the 7970. I would have already purchased the 7970 if there was no concern over the reliability.

Well i would choose Sapphire over HIS.

And its just 3% above 670. Not such a big difference.

Also That gigabyte is cooler than His/Sapphire.

So consider that too.

How do you know that against the 670 gtx oc with the nvidia beta drivers 310.61 it will perform better ?
Borderlands performs better with the 670 gtx, but if you need the games that come with the 7970 then buy the 7970.
