Any Suggestions?

I am getting a new sound card and need some advice for what card I should get. I will be using it for gaming(of course), and to watch DVD's so I will need the 5.1 output. I was looking at the Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum and just wondering if this was a good card to get or not. Is there another card you would recommend? Thanks in advance!

The Audigy is a good card, but Creative apparently hates their customers They have poor drivers and bad customer service.

I'd recommend either the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, or the Hercules Game Theater XP, depending on your budget.
Lots of people have had great succes with the Philips Acoustic Edge, but I have not yet tried it. I had a horrible experience with the Philips Seismic Edge I tried.
