I have an adapter to let me plug an Xbox controller into my PC. Why am I
doing this? Because I like the Xbox controller much better than the
dedicated PC game pads on the market.
There is a driver for use with the Xbox controller from the maker of the
driver, but it doesn't work. The hitch is that the game I am trying to play
does not recognize that there is a gamepad connected to the computer.
My big question, how do I go about making my own driver? A friend tells me
in the days of Window Me there was a Windows wizard that would make a driver
for you if there were none available. It seams like there ought to be
something that simple. I do have Visual Studio available to me. I hope
that if I resort to writing my own code that it isn't that hard.
