Gtx 660 vs hd 7870

I usually play games like GTA 4
And i am gonna buy the gta5 cd and play the game
I am using a AMD Phenom 980 deneb black edition
660 vs 7870
What would be a good choice for me
I think that 660 is much more better in the price by performance.

The 7870 is faster both are great choices get which ever is cheaper.

Which ever cheaper and the 7870 is faster check the latest benchmarks no neck and neck about it the 660 ti is neck and neck with 7870

Both cards are similar. The 660 cards are bottlenecked more by Anti-Aliasing at 8x vs 4x rather than simply the resolution.

The HD7870's also come with a Far Cry 3 coupon, but I think the GTX660's have an Assassin's Creed 3 coupon.

*Note the average gaming performance has the HD7870 beating the GTX660 but BARELY. Other considerations:
1) Note WHICH GAMES ran better on which card.
2) What FREE GAME do you prefer? Assassin's Creed 3 or Far Cry 3?

Basically you can't go wrong either way.

I simply can't choose between them. If I were FORCED to pick one (assuming you don't care which GAME you get) then it would be the HD7870.

GTA4:
BTW, that game is the ONLY game I've ever had serious difficulties running. I have a great gaming rig and the game still locks the frame rate oddly. For example, I got 44FPS at 1920x1080 and all settings HIGH then a HIGHER frame rate at 2560x1440.

However, no matter what I do (even on LOW) I can't get the game to lock to 60FPS with no screen tearing. Sigh. I finally gave up.

Saints Row the Third which is similar however looks and runs far better.

That's because GTA4 is notoriously CPU-bound. I'd take the GTX660 if cheaper - like people have said you'd never be able to tell the difference in speed.
