No signal on monitor straight from boot

I was gaming the other day on my Acer, and then switched to my laptop to write a paper, so i put the acer desktop into sleep mode. when i was finished i tried waking the pc, my monitor got no signal, i had to shut it down manually, but when i turned it on again, still no signal, i tried again this morning, and still nothing. The GPU is Nvidia GT220, and the PC model is an Aspire M3203. Anyone know how to fix this problem, do i need a new GPU or is it fixable? ![:(]( ":(")
