Display not showing with my graphics card

Hello,
can you help. I get no display on the monitor if i install my ati radeonHD graphic card, when i turn ON the computer the sysrem is like its working fine becaous i can hear the beeb sound and num lock is ON and if i try with the nvidea graphic card it is working fine. is my ati graphic card is dead???!!!

thang check that if your ati card has two 6 or 8 pin power plugs both are plugged in. if your system has onboard gu it may be booting to the onboard video first. try moving the cable to the video port on the mb and see if you get a video image. the last issue would be the new card is using more power then the old card was and your power supply cant handle the load.
