Computer requirements for a graphic designer

Hello,

I am looking for some advice regarding a new computer. I am a graphic designer who works in CS4 now but will more than likely switch to the creative cloud when our budget cycle begins. I have to save every file to our server.

I am looking for general requirements of a computer.

Here are my current problems that I would like to solve:
- Virtual memory causes the programs to shut
- I am working with big files (bus wraps, billboards, etc) so I need something that will operate quickly

I already have a large monitor, so looking for system (memory, ram, processor, etc.) requirements.

Please note: I cannot operate on a MAC platform because of IT constraints.

This seems like a systems question. Heres the link to that forum and you can look at pre built custom computer layouts or post this post there and someone can provide you with a full pc build.
