Recommended GPU for new build!

Hi everybody!

I'm currently sourcing parts to build my first desktop and wanted some expert opinions on recommended graphics cards. I won't be doing any insane gaming, but I want the games I do play (RTS, the very occasional FPS) to play at the best possible level. This is comming from someone who has lived on an AMD Athlon and £30ish graphics card for the last 5 years, so I'm really not looking for anything too crazy!

I've currently got;

AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
500w OCZ stealthXstream PSU
Antec 600 Case

and I'm looking at getting;

Gigabyte 990fxa ud3 motherboard
6GB - 8GB RAM
SSD of some sort

What card would you reccommend? There's a few Radeons I like the look of, but not sure if they are still any good, or even overkill for what I want? Budget of up to £150ish

I don't really know much about the nvidia range of cards so I'll have a read up about the GTX 660 - do you happen to know what the Radeon HD equivalent would be?
