Hi TomsHardware Community,
I am working on a desktop build as a multimedia hub- for gaming(WOW, Warhammer Age of Reckoning, Warhammer 40k RTS, not too much FPS), concert footage editing/hiking and camping vids, CAD, GIS, and other modeling programs for ecological design work. I do not plan on building my own this time around. I am looking for a solid build and wanted constructive input in terms of cutting cost/replacing parts that don't make much sense based on my patterns of usage. I am looking at this as a long-ish term investment, that's why I opted for a large chassis for expandability options. The price before shipping is $4,061.00, so one question is could I spend about $500 less because that would be an ideal budget, $3500 not including shipping. Peripherals: I am curious about what kind of monitor to buy that would best utilize this build. All other peripherals I have a better idea of what to get. Where I buy my desktop is not set in stone so please feel free to guide me in other directions. I could not email the config to myself and have had to format it through text edit,I am sorry it is not immediately easy to read. Thanks for your time whoever decides to comment.
