Hi all, I've been frequenting these boards for quite a long time, but this is my first time posting. Hopefully I can get some input. I built my first PC back in 2009. These are some of the parts I used to give you an idea of where I'm coming from:
An Antec 900 Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021
AMD Phenom II X3 710 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103648[/color]
GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128387

I feel like it's been long enough to where I'd like to build a new PC again. I've already compiled a shopping list of what I would like to get, so I'm basically asking if there is anything I could do better. The current total price on Newegg for the list is $1023. I think I'd like to stay around that price point.

Case - Corsair Special Edition White Graphite Series 600T http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139005
Power Supply - CX600 600W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028
Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128521
GPU - Radeon HD 7870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125418
Processor - AMD FX-8350 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284
Memory - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314
HDD - SAMSUNG Spinpoint 1TB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
Optical - ASUS 24X DVD Burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204
Cooling - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

I've also been eyeballing the Corsair Hydro Series H100 for cooling instead of the Coolermaster, but I might be going overkill for my needs, probably just want it. Any advice or conformation would be great.

Looks like a pretty good build over all, though I would change the HDD to the Seagate Barracuda, which you can buy from NCIX for 65$. Also if you going to get an after-market cooler get a cooler that is worth spending the extra money. The 212 EVO is okay but it's not going to preform all that much better then the stock. If you want to go water cooling but you don't want to spend the like 100$ for the H100 you could go with the H50 or H55, then if you wanted more cooling you could replace the Corsair fans that come with it with Noctua fans.

The CM hyper 212 EVO is an amazing cooler. I had one on my Phenom 2 x4 965 BE at 4.0ghz and it kept it under 50 degrees. Many closed water loop coolers won't get you any better performance.

What are you saying? It's the most recommended aftermarket cooler. And why are you recommending water cooling?

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm probably going to go for the CM Hyper 212 Evo. That Noctua NH-D14 however, looks like a beast. Does it take up a considerable amount of space?

The Noctua is big.
