When I turn on the computer with the card installed, there is nothing at all on the monitor. With the card removed, the monitor works normally. I am very confused.
I have an old computer--HP xw4550 Workstation with Windows 7 32 bit. I just installed an HP 456135-001 Nvidia Quadro FX 1700 PCI-E 512MB Video Card, plus drivers from HP.
Also, when I try to install drivers, I get a program compatibility assistant letting me know that "this program might not have installed correctly" message. When I try to update Windows, I get a "WindowsUpdate_800F020B" "WindowsUpdate_dt000" message.
