Hi I'm a newcomer to tom's hardware. Are these computer parts compatible? I will be using this custom build for gaming, video editing, and everyday use such as searching the internet and watching videos. Thanks in advance.

Motherboard= Intel desktop board DZ68BC

Processor= Intel core i7-2600k quad-core processor

Memory= Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 240-Pin Desktop Memory;jsessionid=xzYEsQttfZP9ozpFvcsn0g__.node4?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

Power supply= CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 1000w Power supply

dvd rw drive= LG UH12LS29 dvd rw drive

Hard Drive= Western Digital Caviar 1 TB sata 3 7200rpm desktop hard drive

OS= Microsoft Windows 7 home premium SP1 64 bit

Case= NZXT phantom full tower

Video card= EVGA 02G-P3-2619-KR GeForce GT610 2GB PCI Express Video Card

Sound card= Asuus Xonar DG 5.1 sound card

If some of these parts don't work please tell me a part that will replace it. If the case dosen't work please tell me a phantom case that will. Thanks in advance

What kind of games are you looking to play? Also I'm not sure but doesn't that PSU look like a gigantic overkill? It's like using a missile to kill a sleeping enemy lol

Place a 10 foot nay a 100 foot pole between u and that GT610! If u actually gonna pay for that to game i'd rather u stick to Intel IGP and save up to buy a proper card!

1. i7 Ivy! Sandy is yesterday and no massive price drop either to date
2. No monster PSUs and for a single 1080p no need CF/SLI and just the one HD 7970 GHZ and game a good 550-650 W PSU
