Would a Nvidia 670 GTX be sufficient? This computer will be used for business, but it will be used for some video editing. If a 670 is good enough, what is the 670 equivalent in the Quadro (CAD card) line?

1. The size of the monitor doesn't affect anything.
2. I do not know your intended usage. "Video editing/business" is nowhere near specific enough.
3. I do not know your monitor resolution.

The same as a 10" monitor or a 120" monitor.

What resolution is your system?
And what type of business will this be used for?

the size would be between 27 and 32
the intended usage would be for business applications and maybe some technical drawing
the resolution would probably be average to high

as to the system I have not built it yet, I want to make sure what I am building will be sufficient for what I need.

First of all, your GPU doesn't care what size your screen is. It will simply fill the available area with the pixels available. If you're going to be doing CAD work I advise the use of a Quadro board. Gaming boards and work station boards use very different drivers. Many people, including myself, have been trying for a long tome to find one board to do both. You will be the first that I know of.

yes that is what I am trying to figure out. He knows whta he needs, but I am trying to figure out from him what he intends to use this machine for. He has another machine that has a CAD card for work, I think this one is intended for everything else.

If it is just for Office programs, like Word, power points and similar tasks, you don't need anything other than an integrated chip or the cheapest thing you can find. However, if he is doing CAD on it, that is a different story.

The resolution does matter, resolution is not quantified by low, medium and high. Most monitors today are 1920x1080 (or 1080p for short), however, there are many other sizes, and often 27" monitors come at 2560x1440 (1440p). Right click the desktop and select resolution to see what it is.
