Hello,

geforce gtx 660 gddr5, is this compatible to my asrock h61-vs? my current video card is gddr3

finding hard to know the best video card for my asrock h61m-vs, my processor is intel core i3 and 2-2gb memory but im planning to upgrade it into 2-8gb.


how about gefprce gtx 660 ddr5? is it compatible coz my current video card is ddr3

Yes, it is compatible. Just make sure you have a good enough power supply.

The 660 is very nice for the money. It will work just fine. Just make sure your PSU will be ok. It will need 1 6 pin pci-e cable from the psu.

video memory doesn't have to match your system memory type
any new graphics card would run great on your motherboard

- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot

this is what my asrock's manual suggest to its expansion & connectivity
so it means gtx 660 isnt compatibl? am i right?

and PCI Express 2.0 is printed in the board.
