I'm going to build my first build and was wondering what kind of PSU, RAM and case fans would fit into my build?
I have already looked at the CX600, CX600M GS600* and the GS600 2013 edition and they're all from Corsair. By the way what's the difference between the 2013 edition and the non-2013 GS600? Does the modular CX600M have enough power connections for my build?
Regarding the case fans I already have a 120mm CM stock-fan which came with the case as a rear exhaust. I was thinking of setting up a top-fan (200mm?) as an exhaust and 2 rear fans (120mm?) as front-intakes, but I really don't know which would be the most efficient and quiet while at the same time being the most-bang-for-the-buck.
My budget is around 6000 - 7000DKK (live in Denmark) = 1,076.03 - 1,255.52$ = 668.981 - 780.476£.
I will primarily be using it for gaming and it would be awesome if it was set-up in a way that I'm able to enjoy not only today's games in the highest settings possible with at least 40-60 fps minimum but also future games (of course not expecting this build to last forever gaming-wise, but if it could handle future games like 1-2 years in the future, it would be great.)
Cheaper and better does sound very appealing to my ears!
even thought you have the option to go cheaper, i would probably keep the build like this or something similar.
The 660 Ti should hold for quite a while and i have gotten a PSU that will allow you to SLI it went it starts performing lower in new games.
If wanting to go lower, here are some choices:
-downgrade GPU, i recommend the 7870 if you do so since it is a lot better than a 660 non ti
-downgrade PSU to a 600-650W since GPUs don't take as much power as it used to
-downgrade PSU to a 500W if you do not like the idea of SLI, of course change the motherboard into something cheaper if you choose so
-if you already have a computer with an optical drive, just don't buy one and reuse it(you probably won't use it besides the start of installing windows 7/8 and a few drivers)
Yes, just what I thought! By the way, will it be difficult to move the case with this mounted on the motherboard? Just a bit worried that it will bend the motherboard or somehow wear it down with its weight being 569 grams (heatsink + fan).
The motherboard you've chosen is cheaper than the previously MSI Z77A-GD65, but should I be worried about it's size and not having dual-bios as the MSI? It's 30,5x22,4 cm compared to the MSI which is 30,5x24,5 cm. About the dual-bios thing - maybe it's just me being a bit paranoid? Anywho let's say that if the Asus P8Z77-V LK should get its bios corrupted, would there be another way to restore it or would one simply be doomed? (Still kinda new to this stuff and thought that if there was a dual-bios you would be safe no matter what since you could easily switch over to the backup bios and overwrite the corrupted one if it should happen.)
Another thing worth mentioning is that there is a discount (in DK) on the ASUS P8Z77-V, Socket-1155 which now costs the same as the suggested ASUS P8Z77-V LK. Which one is the better?

So was thinking of purchasing a SSD instead (not too big) for the OS and the games/programs I use the most. Would 64 GB suffice or do you have some suggestions too?
The case looks sweet! But the thing is that I've already got a CM Scout II case, which isn't that great again compared to the one you just showed me. It only has 1 case fans unlike the Fractal Design Define R4 which includes 2 fans and a fan controller. For now I'll settle with the current CM Scout II case though.
I was wondering if you had a PSU which is capable of providing more power than needed that it would damage your hardware somehow? I do like the idea of having a bit overhead or room left for future upgrades such as SLI- or crossfiring the video cards. Furthermore would it be a disadvantage for my electrical bill or is the PSU capable of registering the need of power it has to distribute to the system in order to not waste power?
There's also a discount on a XFX 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified PSU this week that makes it match the price-tag of a 600-650W PSU. Should I go for the discounted XFX 750W? It's a slightly different product number than the one you've listed:

I think the major difference here is that one is semi-modular (yours) and the one on discount is fully wired. It would be nice with a modular/semi-modular PSU which offers better air-flow, but is it worth it compared to the one on discount if I have to get the-most-bang-for-the-buck?
I do have plans on doing SLI/Crossfire in the future if the need arises that I won't be able to play enjoy games maxed out with a decent FPS either.
Got an old PC lying around with a decent, functioning Samsung DVD/CD writer, so I'll save some money there.

The hyper 212 evo should not bend the motherboard if you install it correct and install the motherboard correct. Also don't be too crazy like shake it like crazy because that is asking for it to break, but something like taking it into your car and driving around should be all good.
If the V version is the same price, pick it up. Also some boards to look for are
and don't stray onto MSI boards, they are decent but does not have as much quality as Gigabyte or ASUS
Ram - to be honest, you won't even be looking into your system(unless all you really do is have a watercooled system and LEDs flashing everywhere like a light show) so you pretty much want to get some cheap but good brand named DIMMs.(would have gone with Patriot but, their Viper 3's have large heatsinks that can block the way of the CPU cooler)
If you got the case already, that is all good. The CM scout II is a bit small but surely enough, the hyper 212 evo will be able to fit inside. Anything bigger than the 212 evo will probably not fit inside.
Also you can add inside Case fans anytime you want.
Yes go for the 750W bronze, the only thing different is pretty much the rating of it.
the PSU will not run at full power unless it needs to. Running at idle(which is most of the time) uses very little and running at Full doesnt take that much either. I put inside a 750W so you can have the option of putting inside another card for more power.
Actually, cut that. Your PSU is actually a non modular PSU and the one i put inside is Semi. So i would stick with mine or you can search for one of these PSUs.

One thing I'm a bit worried about is the 2x4gb corsair vengeance RAM together with the hyper 212 evo - will there be enough clearance?
As for the motherboard I've chosen to go with the MSI gd65 despite your recommendation to not to stray onto MSI boards. Anywho I'd like to thank you for all of the awesome suggestions though (been having quite a dilemma for a while).
Another thing to that I've thought about is that instead of doing SLI or crossfire in the future with another graphic card, why not just buy 1 single powerful GPU thus reducing the PSU demands? If so would a 600W (modular/semi-modular) be enough?
