Graphics cars advice.

Hello I have just finished building my gaming computer, I am starting to worry that my Graphics Card is not powerful enough for the type of games I play e.g:

Assassin's Creed III, Skyrim, Farcry 3.

These are my current specifications:

Amd fx 4100 quad core 3.6ghz

8gb ddr3 ram 2x4gb 1333mhz per stick

Pmy Gtx 650 1gb (Nvidia Geforce Gtx 650)

I have a front facing fan sucking cold air in and a back facing fan blowing it back out.

Basically I am wondering what else I can add to the computer. Or do you recommend a graphics card upgrade. Thank you for you're time.

Also the motherboard is Asus M5A78L-M/USB3

  1. Erm. Don't want to sound rude but if you have already built the rig then why not play the games and see how they run?...

Hi I should of mentioned that I can run assassins creed 3 on high with txaa enabled, it runs smooth but can lag at times, farcry 3 is a bit choppy on ultra settings.
  3. Ahh ok. Then I think you have answered your own question. If you want to run everything maxed then an upgrade is required.

Okay thank you, is the graphics card what needs to be updates :)
  5. Yes everything else you have there is more than adequate. Only other upgrade that can help performance would be an SSD if you have not already got one.
