Yes, DMA should be enabled. It will increase drive performance and keep your drives from slowing down your computer when being accessed.

What OS are you running? That will allow me to tell you exactly how to enable DMA.

Control Panel --> System, Device Manager tab. Find your drives branch, open that (by clicking on the + sign), and right-click on the hard drive --> Properties. Go to Settings, and there should be an option for DMA. If not, check in your BIOS to see if it is enabled there. Check your motherboard manual if you can't find the DMA option in the BIOS.
