Getting gmail through Outlook

Hi All,
Long time reader and now new member![:bounce:]( ":bounce:")
. I was hoping for some advice on how to get Outlook to connect to Gmail IMAP servers when the ports are blocked through a firewall. Opening the ports in the firewall is not an option so any help will be great.
