New Comp Build Need Help

this will be my first comp build. This will be used as primarily a gaming pc im trying to save as much money as possible so i want to gut my Acer Aspire TimelineX (Laptop) for its intel Core i5-2410M 2.3 GHz with Turbo boost up to 2.9GHz processor, its RAM 4 GB DDR3 Memory and its hardrive a 500GB HDD hardrive so i dont have to purchase windows or repurchase word and all those goodies nor transfer all my crap on to a new comp first i wanted to know if this was possible to gut a laptop for these components I was also going to purchase a 1GB XFX Radeon HD 7770, a LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x DVD±R, a Fractal Design Core 1000 (case), a MSI H61M-P31 (G3) Motherboard and im not sure of the powersupply to get so help is needed there. thxs for your time i truly do need help thank you to all you can help :)

you can not do what you are thinking of

there is no compatibility with desk top cases , or add in cards like a graphics card

What is your budget? If you are just trying to play things like Minecraft, TF2, Gmod, things like that, you can make a very decent $500-$600 computer that will give you easily 50+ FPS in those games
