Hello,
i am not sure if this would be safe to do?
i see there are peripheral to 6 pin adapters. i want to know if i would be safe if i would hood up a xfx Double D 7850 with 1 of them and my 6 pin on my Psu. i want to make sure it will not screw up before i order anything.

Did you read the reviews on that adapter? With that kind of money for a video card I would not take the chance, I would purchase a good quality power supply, Seasonic, Corsair Antec to name a few, but read some reviews from www.hardwaresecrets.com it will guide you in the right direction.
